This is a 59, 119 word, Horror novel. The circumstances by which I acquired the recordings, (upon which this book is based), I cannot divulge. The subjects of the recordings concern an occurrence known as “Electronic Voice Phenomenon” (or E V P) in which an analog tape or digital recorder is either brought to or left, totally unattended, at some site that is alleged to be ‘haunted’.

            At the end of the recording session, the tape is reviewed and, for all intents and purposes, should be blank for the entire time of the experimentation.  While, most of the time, this is the case, sometimes voices appear on the tape that cannot be explained by any known means.

            Usually, the voices are barely discernible from the tape hiss and background noise that is always present, but sometimes they are unmistakable, human-like voices of unknown origin that are loud, discernible, and coherent.

            I am bound by both conscience and contract to change the interviewees’ last names; referring to them as Tim Sharp and Carley Newquist.  For that reason, the transcripts of the spirit interviews mentioned in this book are offered ‘as is’.

            Mr. Sharp recorded the first spirit interview seen in the book on the eleventh of October 2001 using a digital recorder.  The following story is a novel adapted from the other interviews with Mr. Sharp and Miss. Newquist recorded (ironically) onto a series of standard audiotapes over a six-month period in 2003.
